Dreame X50 Ultra Complete: review and verdict

On paper, the Dreame X50 Ultra Complete is a 2025 flagship selling at a mid-range price in 2026. It carries over the general architecture of the X60 Pro Ultra Complete — advanced navigation, full station, detangling brush — without its obstacle-climbing robotic arm or its most powerful motor. The result: an almost identical score, for 550 € less.

The X50 Ultra Complete scores 9.2/10, right behind the best score in the lineup (9.4/10 for the X60 Pro Ultra Complete), at 550 € less. It is our default recommendation: it covers the vast majority of homes with no notable compromise, and its one real gap — climbing high obstacles — concerns only a minority of households.

Who is it for?

The vast majority of households: flats as well as houses, mixed flooring, pets around. By our scoring, this is the exact balance point of the Dreame lineup between performance and price.

Avoid it if…

You have thresholds higher than 5 cm to clear, steps, or frequent changes of level in the home. The X50 Ultra Complete's 4.2 cm climbing will not cover those cases — you then need to look at the X60 Pro Ultra Complete.

Our scores by criterion

Value for money is, unsurprisingly, its sharpest strength: at 749 €, it earns an overall score that gives up almost nothing to the most expensive model in the range.

Against its alternatives

According to the manufacturer's specifications, both models share the same station architecture and a detangling brush from the same HyperStream family. What separates them: suction (20,000 Pa against 42,000 Pa) and above all obstacle climbing (4.2 cm against 10 cm, thanks to the X60 Pro's robotic arm).

In practice, this means the X50 Ultra Complete already covers the uses where suction matters — carpets, pet hair, mixed flooring — since returns beyond 20,000 Pa become marginal on ordinary flooring. What it does not do is clear a high threshold or a step between two levels. The 550 € gap between the two models comes down, almost entirely, to that single capability.

Maintenance and consumables

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the station automatically handles mop washing, mop drying and dust bin emptying, thanks to its self-refilling cleaning solution. What remains on the user, at a frequency estimated from the usual behaviour of this kind of station: replacing the collection bag (every 1 to 2 months depending on how often the robot runs), cleaning the filter (a monthly rinse), and replacing the mops and the main brush (every 6 to 12 months depending on visible wear).
