Dreame accessories and consumables: what to replace, and when
A well-maintained Dreame keeps its performance over time — but you still need to know what to replace, at what rhythm, and above all what is compatible with what. That is where most buyers get caught out, particularly on the Aqua series.

These ranges are indicative: they vary by model, retailer and current promotions. Treat them as an order of magnitude for budgeting maintenance, not as a fixed price list.
Compatibility by series
This is the point worst explained at the moment of purchase, and yet the one with the most impact once the robot is home.
X, L and D series. These series rest on an architecture of spinning or extendable mops, broadly compatible with each other within their family: consumables are easy to find, from Dreame as well as from third-party makers. One exception to know: the D20 Pro Plus, whose removable mop is washed by hand and does not follow the same spare-part logic as the rest of these three series.
Aqua series. Here, mopping rests on an AquaRoll roller, a consumable specific to this series and not interchangeable with the mops of the other Dreame ranges.
Before buying an Aqua model (Aqua10 Roller, Aqua10 Ultra Roller Complete, Aqua10 Ultra Track Complete), know that its AquaRoll roller is a dedicated consumable: you will not find it in the same aisle as the ordinary mops of other Dreame robots, and it will have to be repurchased specifically as it wears out.
Matrix series. One notch further into specificity: the Multi-Mop system uses three different mop textures (degreasing, sponge, fibre), each paired with its own cleaning solution. These consumables are unique to the Matrix series and do not substitute for those of the other ranges.
The water hook-up kit
An accessory at around 199 € fully automates the filling of clean water and the draining of dirty water at the station, by connecting it directly to the home's water supply and drain. It is compatible with the Aqua series, and depending on the model with other stations fitted with a connection point designed for it — check the exact compatibility on the model's page before buying.
Who it is worth it for: a large house, intensive use of the robot, or simply the wish never to touch the tanks again. Who it is a waste for: a flat where the station stays within reach of a water point — filling and emptying the tanks by hand takes only a few minutes a week, and the 199 € investment then takes a long time to justify.
Should you take genuine consumables?
The honest answer is nuanced, and depends on the part.
Filters and dust bags: generics do the job. On these two consumables, compatible versions sold by third-party makers generally work very well and cost three to four times less than genuine Dreame parts. Filtration and collection capacity do not depend on complex proprietary know-how.
Main brush: the genuine part is worth its price. It is the piece that delivers the robot's real day-to-day performance — effective suction and resistance to hair tangling, particularly on HyperStream brushes designed specifically for it. A poorly fitted generic brush can degrade both, for a saving that does not offset the loss.
Mops: somewhere in between. On the X, L and D series, compatible generic mops exist and work properly in most cases. On the Aqua and Matrix series, however, the specificity of the system (a roller, or multiple textures) sharply limits the supply of reliable generics: better to stay on genuine consumables, at least until a proven alternative exists.
